BNI was started 21 years ago in the US by management consultant Ivan Misner. Most of his work came through referrals, but dissatisfied with the types of business groups that existed he decided to create his own networking group.

So, based on the principal, ”Givers Gain”, BNI was born.

With over 4,200 active chapters, and 84,000 members, it is the most successful business referral organisation in the world.

The Hammersmith chapter started in 1997. At the moment it has 28 members but we’re always on the lookout for more. Our current crop of members generated 1400 referrals worth over £130,000 last year.

At our weekly meetings there's a strong feeling of friendship and camaraderie, and although there's no shortage of wisecracks and laughter no-one forgets the real purpose of the meeting . . . to network, give business, and receive business.

Everyone looks out for business for everyone else. That way, everyone gains.
